Preventing Deforestation
Paper production contributes to deforestation. In fact, it is estimated that the average office worker will use around 10,000 sheets of paper per year, which is the equivalent of one tree per worker. That is the reason why we have massively reduced the use of paper by digitalizing all the exchange of documents between our team and our clients. By doing this, we reduce our business’s carbon footprint, preventing trees from being cut down and eliminating the energy required to convert a tree into a piece of printing paper.

Since 1982, Green America has been encouraging businesses across the United States to adopt principles and best practices to improve the quality of life for their customers, employees, and the planet. The members of their Network are changing the way America does business by bringing the goals of social and economic justice, environmental sustainability, and community development into all of their activities. Their consumer education programs are consumed by millions and encourage people to become aware of the environmental problems the world is going through to take action.
Solar-Energy-Powered Business
The earth has always been reliant on fossil fuels to produce energy. Up to this day, over 41 percent of coal is currently being used to produce electricity, which makes it one of the most commonly used resources to generate electricity. Many companies are unaware that the mining of fossil fuels and other materials is destroying our ecosystem and increasing greenhouse effects and global warming throughout the planet. On the other hand, solar energy is much safer for both humans and the environment, as it is a lot easier to make and transport. That is why we have switched to using solar energy to power our business operations.
Reducing Carbon Emissions
Hosting companies are vast polluters of the environment. Most of them have massive facilities with thousands of servers to keep everything from corporate websites to DIY blogs. These servers need to run in relaxed and controlled environments, which requires large amounts of energy and a significant carbon dioxide (CO2) output. For that matter, at Green Translations, we decided to give back to the environment by moving our servers to a carbon-neutral hosting company that is fully wind-powered, reducing our company’s carbon emissions and mitigating our operations’ impact on the environment.
Science-Based Solutions For Our Oceans
At Green Translations, we believe practices have clear and measurable impacts on the ocean and its wildlife. That is the reason why we have partnered with the Ocean Conservancy to create science-based solutions to protect and maintain our oceans healthy for us, our families, and the generations to come. Some of the initiatives they promote are the enrollment of ocean advocates to push for effective ocean policies, international groups that work to reduce plastics in the ocean, and over 600,000 volunteers to clean our coasts from the industrial waste factories produce.
Supporting Environmental Organizations
Keeping our business operations as eco-friendly as possible is not all we do for the environment. Every year, we choose one specific environmental issue and donate a percentage of our revenue to that organization.
For 2022, we choose to support “The Honeybee Conservancy.”
